Artist's Comments
I'm the artist for Elsinore, a comic book beginning in April of 2005.
All of the art is drawn in Adobe Illustrator using the pencil tool. I don't use any paper or scans.
This scene is an exchange of dialogue between the the woman from the first issue, and the doctor. (If you have been following along. LOL)
Anyway, this type of scene is exposition. Lots of dialogue propelling the plot. The reader needs to be able to get through these types of pages easily and as quick as possible. standard stuff for literature. I would have given the page a more simple traditional layout but I thought I would make it a bit more interesting. Maybe that's greedy for the artist to draw some attention to the art or layout, but I have been taking clues from Manga and I am trying to keep the layouts interesting.
Big change since the 12 panel page at the start of this issue. Oh well--whatever works.
